Tagtool Convention 2019

OMAi is happy to invite you to the Tagtool Convention 2019, happening on August 16-18th in Tulln, Austria! This is an informal gathering of artists, musicians, and Tagtool-heads. It’s all about exploring alternative visions of audiovisual live performance. We’re all looking forward to a weekend of inspiration, improvisation and creative exchange!

Venue & Location

The Convention takes place in Tulln, a small Austrian town by the river Danube, 30 minutes from Vienna by train. This is where Tagtool was born back in the days.

The heart of the convention will be Kunstwerkstatt, a 400 square meter cultural space. Inside, the entire space will be covered by projections, wall to wall. The venue opens towards a restaurant at the banks of the river Danube.

Convention Program

There’ll be Tagtool presentations, workshops and discussions during the days. In the evenings, the focus is on performances and jam sessions. The program ends on Sunday night with a large-scale collaborative outdoors projection at a nearby ancient roman tower.

Come visit or participate!

As always with Tagtool conventions, it’s all about creative exchange. We invite anyone who uses the tool, or plans to do so, or is simply interested in experiencing it in an ideal setting. Check out this post on the Tagtool community forum to find out more about the participating artists!

If you’d like to come (either as an artist/musician/performer, or as a visitor), don’t hesitate to get in touch with Josef at gnu@omai.at. He will coordinate the sessions, can help you with finding accommodation, or answer any other questions you might have.

We’re very excited to bring back the Tagtool convention to Tulln. We’re looking forward to synchronizing and further developing the vision of the project. To witness different approaches to using the tool, to align creative forces, meet old friends and build artistic alliances for the future. Come join us!
